Polycalm

Polycalm is an acoustic sound-absorber sandwich panel composed of a two upper layers of designed folded structures of a newly developed natural fibre reinforced biocomposite material. The folded edges were realized through vacuum-assisted thermoforming process, then post-fabrication processes using 3D CNC-milling took place to create necessary opening, to allow sound waves to enter in the voids between the two folded plates and allow sound energy distraction.
The other skin of the sandwich panel is composed of a solid layer of the same base material of the folded plates and the core is a natural fibre non-woven fleece. Different aesthetic and technical values can be reached here and integrated lighting can be included.
This product is suitable in office buildings, private housing and in special public areas like theatres and galleries.
