This product is a thermal insulating sandwich panel, where the outer layers are composed of annually renewable natural fibres reinforced by thermoplastic binders, mainly bio-mass based. The inner sandwich core is based on foamed bioplastics, resulting a biofoam material of density lying between 45 kg/m³, (free expansion) – 50-130 kg/m³ (pent-up plate) for thermal insulation properties.
The external layers can be thermoformed into the needed custom design and attached to the sandwich core, to suit interior, sanitation and furniture applications. The products are completely recyclable and can be composted under industrial compost conditions.
